If her name sounds familiar, most likely you have listened to Carol Bach-y-Rita in K-JAZZ 88.1 where her album Minha Casa/My House (ARUGULA RECORDS 2016) gained great recognition.

With a prolific career as a voice actress, samba instructor, and a jazz vocalist who sings in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, Carol has been a featured performer at Jazz venues and festivals throughout the United States, Europe and Japan, with noted repeat engagements with MTT and The San Francisco Symphony and the The Monterey Jazz Festival. She has worked with many top artists in Jazz and Brazilian music in the United States and abroad, including: Bill Cantos, Larry Koonse, John Leftwich, Mike Shapiro, Harry Allen, Jacky Terrason, Bill Cunliffe, Claudio Roditi, John Clayton, Chico Pinheiro, Joshua Redman, Mark Levine, Ricardo Silveira, Bruce Forman, Dado Moroni, Michael Spiro, Rique Pantoja, Kleber Jorge, Mitchell Long, Hussain Jiffry, among others.

In this occasion, Carol will be accompanied by amazing Brazilian percussionist and drummer, Ana Barreiro, and guitar player and singer, Mitchell Long.

Ana Barreiro Drummer, composer and educator Ana Barreiro is an active musician based in Los Angeles-CA with deep roots in Brazilian music and Jazz. Originally from Poços de Caldas, a town located in the Southeast region of Brazil, with a Bachelor’s degree in Drum Performance from Berklee College of Music and a Master’s Degree in Jazz Studies from the University of Southern California. Currently, Ana Barreiro is part of the Faculty at the Musician's Institute in Hollywood teaching at the Institution’s Bachelor’s program.

Mitchell Long A vibrant Jazz and Brazilian music artist, Mitchell Long was born in La Jolla CA. to a creative family. His father a writer, mother visual artist and his grandmother a music teacher. His love for many styles of music has shaped him into a unique and original artist. He sings in English and Portuguese, is a great composer and arranger and plays many different stringed instruments as well as percussion. He lives in Los Angeles now since 2003.
