Bagunça is a eclectic power trio that fuses together a groovy mess of musical styles, experiences and talents in popular music, improvisation, dance beats, Brazilian and jazz traditions. The concept of this trio was formed years ago with the idea to mash up the Trio’s experiences playing this eclectic array of American music with Brazilian or other world music.. Bagunça translates to“a mess” in Brazilian Portuguese and this a good and groovy mess!
Mitchell Long is a guitarist/singer from Los Angeles with 40 years experience in Jazz and Blues and has a passion for many popular North American styles like classic Rock, Pop, Folk, R&B and Soul, but he is also well known for his experience in Brazilian, Cape Verdean, Angolan and other world music traditions. Credits include work with Herb Alpert, Melody Gardot, Julia Fordham, Gloria Estefan and Sergio Mendes among others.
Randy Tico: As a bassist he has performed and recorded with a wide range of musicians including Jeff Bridges, Ivan Lins, Flora & Airto, Matrix, Jose Feliciano, Kenny Loggins, Ivan Lins and Michael McDonald. Randy's deep pocket, distinctive melodic bass style along with the incorporation of unusual techniques with chords and harmonics brings true art to the groove and foundation in Bagunça
Kevin Winard has performed and/or recorded as drummer or percussionist with artists Steve Tyrell, Doc Severinsen, Sergio Mendes, Rosemary Clooney, Diane Schuur, Tom Scott and a long list of others. Kevin is a versatile musician that exudes joyful confidence and a strong pocket to drive the band. He’s at home in many styles and even released an album of singing standards from the great American songbook.
